Shanahan: QB Nick Mullens didn't play very well

A quarterback change could be on the table for the 49ers this week.

“I don’t think [Nick Mullens] played very well, just looking at some of our situations, but that wasn’t all on him,” Shanahan said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “No one played very well, especially in the passing game.”

Fantasy Impact:

Mullens was 18-of-32 for 221 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions against the Buccaneers in Sunday’s 27-9 loss. The story said the team evaluates the QB position every week so it's possible a switch back to Beathard takes place for Week 13.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
