Fantasy Impact:

Patricia said the team is doing it "out of respect for Matthew and his competitiveness," but it doesn't sound like the Lions would be wise to suit him up with the season lost. Blough will get the start in Week 14 and looked good on Thanksgiving.

Matthew Stafford to miss third straight game with back fractures

Lions QB Matthew Stafford has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Redskins with small fractures in his back.

Fantasy Impact:

This will be the third game in a row Stafford has missed with these fractures and it’s fair to start wondering if he will soon be shut down for the season. There’s no word as to when he’ll be back so don’t plan on him for the rest of your regular season and it’s questionable if he’ll be back for the fantasy playoffs. Jeff Driskel will continue to start in Stafford’s place.

Meanwhile most other reports say Stafford is going to continue to miss time. Driskel certainly has potential as a fill-in for Stafford, this past week throwing for two scores and adding a rushing element to his game with running TD as well.
