Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger injured his left knee midway through the second quarter on a pass that was eventually intercepted by Dolphins safety Reshad Jones. As Roethlisberger rolled right, he was tripped by defensive lineman Jordan Phillips, but maintained his balance just before throwing downfield on a pass intended for Sammie Coates.
Roethlisberger limped from the field, and moments later, limped under his own power into the locker room. The team announced that Big Ben had sustained a left knee injury and that his return to Sunday's game is questionable.
NFL Red Zone showed Ben on the sideline with what looked like a wrap around his knee, but he appeared ready to go. Steelers Burt Lauten, the teams director of communications, announced Ben will return to the game.
