Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) needs to clear the final hurdle of concussion protocol and is therefor questionable for Week 12's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

It is a quick turnaround if Lamb plays, and it is fair to question if it makes sense for him to play considering the team's place in the standings and future aspirations. Know that Lamb is one hit away from a longer stay off the field should he be concussed Thanksgiving Day.

Ezekiel Elliott (knee) practiced fully while CeeDee Lamb didn't practice due to his concussion.

Elliott's injury didn't look good on Sunday against the Chiefs, but he was eventually able to return to the game so his full participation is a great sign. He'll be good to go against the Raiders.

Many figured the quick turnaround would mean Lamb would not play on Thanksgiving, but news out of Dallas Tuesday said Lamb was doing well and the team said there was a path to suiting up after he was able to attend meetings. However, this DNP may not be a good sign for Lamb and Thursday's game. Gallop and Wilson would be the team's top WRs with Amari Cooper (COVID) already out and Lamb in question.

Speaking to 105.3FM the Fan, team exec Stephen Jones was upbeat about the possibility of CeeDee Lamb taking the field against the Raiders, going so far as to heavily imply a lack of residual symptoms after Lamb banged his head against the turf at Arrowhead Stadium on the final play of the first half -- not returning to the game thereafter.

"He's doing really well," said Jones. "So, he'll have an opportunity to play. If he were having issues today, then you'd probably be a little leery, but the fact that so far he's doing well."

As the story said, it's obviously good news but the Cowboys, and fantasy owners, probably can't get too far ahead here. Lamb was present in team meetings and being allowed to take on cognitive duties (i.e., paying attention in said meetings and learning) is a part of league's concussion protocol, the story said. No matter how much Lamb professes himself as "OK" or "fine," his medical clearance remains in the hands of an independent physician, the story reminded us.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott left Sunday’s game for a brief time after aggravating his knee injury, but he was able to get back on the field and played 69 percent of the team’s offensive snaps.

Things didn't look good for Elliott after the injury but as the story said he was able to return to the game. The Cowboys play the Raiders in the middle game on Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys will be without two of their top WRs for Week 12, Amari Cooper (COVID) and CeeDee Lamb (concussion).

Lamb suffered a concussion in Week 11 against the Chiefs and Rapoport said the timing likely prevents him from getting back on the field before the slate of Thanksgiving Day games. Rapoport added that's not official as of yet, but four days would likely be too quick of a turnaround for exiting the league's protocol. Meanwhile, Cooper's COVID window takes him through Week 12's game. Gallup and Wilson look to be the team's top-two WRs with TE Schultz likely getting involved as well.

The injury occurred late in the first half and Lamb was ruled out for the rest of the game. Lamb had just 14 yards on three yards as Dallas had early struggles on offense. With Thanksgiving coming this week, the Cowboys have a short week and so it’s probably unlikely Lamb will be available against the Raiders. We’ll track his status this week but more likely heading into Week 13 against the Saints.

Both continue to play despite limited practice reps. Expect the same Week 10.

There will certainly be more to this story in the coming days and weeks. It's sad and unfortunate to hear, especially when mental health issues are starting to surface around the NFL.

Prescott was expected to be limited and did what was asked, a good sign heading towards Friday. Cooper and Lamb being limited is no surprise as they will get every opportunity to rest ahead of games.
