A week ago, rookie running back Zack Moss fumbled in a key spot, gifting the 49ers the shortest of fields and an easy touchdown. Sean McDermott and his coaching staff swiftly limited Moss’ snaps and said afterward the running back needed to learn a lesson. Credit to the Bills for not extending that lesson into this game against the Steelers. If Moss is going to show growth, he needs to know the team has confidence in him. The Bills showed that on the final drive of the game when Moss carried the ball six times for 26 yards and two first downs on Buffalo’s seven-minute, 11-second drive to seal the win.

The story added Moss got a clear vote of confidence on that last drive. The Bills ran 11 plays before Allen’s two kneel-downs, and Moss touched the ball on six of them. Moss took 59 percent of the Bills’ offensive snaps to Singletary’s 40 percent. He also had 13 carries to Singletary’s seven. And 26 of Moss’ 43 rushing yards came on the final drive. The Bills trusted Moss to be their closer, and the rookie delivered, the story added.

Broncos head coach Vic Fangio told reporters Friday that QB Drew Lock's back tightened Wednesday, but that it is not an issue now.

In the words of Matt Harmon: "Ain't nobody used to have a bad back." This could be an issue with one bad hit or evasion of pressure, making Lock an injury concern heading into Week 14.

Broncos president of football operations/general manager John Elway has said little publicly about Drew Lock. But with the team likely missing the playoffs for the fifth straight season -- and with a talented, young roster of offensive skill position players -- Lock's final month will go a long way in deciding his future.

Lock has completed 55.4% of his passes this season, passing for 1,918 yards with nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. If the Broncos don't have much success in the final four games and end up picking in the prime real estate of the 2021 draft -- top 10 -- in which the best quarterback prospects are often selected, it could sway them to move on from Lock, the story indicated. The team wants to see less interceptions and more conversions on third down, HC Vic Fangio said in the story.

All three Bronco QBs had close contact with Jeff Driskel, who was infected with COVID, without masks, breaking league protocols. But, none of them caught the virus, according to reports. As Klis points out, the Broncos and the three QBs could have played a Tuesday night game. Either way, Lock is expected to start against the Chiefs in Week 13.

The Denver Broncos had no new positive coronavirus tests coming out of Sunday testing, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Broncos were without their entire quarterback depth chart for Sunday's loss to the Saints due to the positive test of backup quarterback Jeff Driskel and the fact that the team's three other QBs (Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles) were all deemed to be high-risk contacts.

Lock, the team's starting quarterback, issued an apology on social media before Sunday's game acknowledging that the quarterbacks had erred in not strictly adhering to mask policies with one another, according to the story.

First, Devin Singletary lost a fumble in the fourth quarter that nearly cost the Bills their hold on the game. And for the fourth straight game, Singletary received fewer snaps than Zach Moss did, but by the biggest margin yet. Moss out-snapped Singletary by 13 (38 to 25); of the 199 snaps in the three previous games, Moss had just 15 more snaps than Singletary’s total (108 to 93).

As the story said, Moss entered the game for the last four snaps of the Bills’ final touchdown drive, stayed on the field for the ensuing drive and, once Singletary fumbled, took the majority of the reps the rest of the way. Moss was on the field for 18 of the Bills’ final 22 offensive snaps. Singletary lacks the true explosiveness to turn a running crease into a big gain, while Moss can power through contact and gain additional yards, the author went on to say.

Overall, the Bills revived their run game Sunday. But at what cost? The Bills are at their best on offense when throwing the ball and making the attack run through Josh Allen, and it never seemed in sync Sunday. Allen never got on the same page with Stefon Diggs except for some forced short-yardage targets. Cole Beasley was essentially a non-factor other than his touchdown throw.

The author added you never want to take away the best part of your own offense, and that’s what the Bills appeared to do Sunday. The Bills can still be an impactful running team without having a balanced approach. The story also said it’s all about the timing of run calls and the effectiveness of them and the run game likely will not be the reason the Bills have success in the playoffs. While it's just the author's view and the Bills may see things different, it's perhaps something to keep in mind, especially if you're a Moss or Singletary owner.

Klis says it is unclear if this is precautionary or what the status of the quarterbacks is for Sunday against the Saints. Driskel tested positive for COVID on Thursday. However, the other quarterbacks have all been testing negative and Klis notes there is hope all three (not counting Driskel) will be cleared for Sunday.
