According to Ian Rapoport on Twitter, Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown will be ready to play for Week 5.

Brown reportedly had a chance to get cleared for Sunday had the Titans Week 4 contest not been canceled, and is expected to play in Week 5 barring any setbacks. There is no guarantee that the Titans get cleared for Week 5, but if they do, fantasy managers can count on their star receiver being back in their lineups.

The Philadelphia Eagles have placed TE Dallas Goedert on Injured Reserve with a fractured ankle, according to the team's official Twitter account.

Goedert will miss at least three weeks, and his timeline for return extends well past the three-week minimum. Goedert's spot on the roster was filled with the signing of Hakeem Butler, who will transition to tight end.

Zach Ertz should now see plenty of targets. Goedert went down in the first quarter and limped off the field. The Eagles are already low on weapons as DeSean Jackson also got hurt during the game and Alshon Jeffery and Jalen Raegor are already out. This leaves Ertz and Richard Rodgers at TE and John Hightower, Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Deontay Burnett as the WRs.

Brown continued to miss practice this week, and will miss his second consecutive game. Expect Corey Davis, Adam Humphries, and Jonnu Smith to dominate passing targets against a depleted Vikings secondary.

A.J. Brown is firmly trending towards missing his second consecutive contest. The Titans would be wise to play it safe with their prized sophomore, and will likely err on the side of caution as far as when he is cleared to return to the practice field. With Brown out Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith, and Adam Humphries all get slight value boosts. Jonnu was a star in Week 2 but has a tougher matchup on tap against one of the top coverage linebackers in the league in Eric Kendricks.

A.J. Brown is sitting out of practice Wednesday as he continues to recover from a bone bruise in his knee.

Brown did not practice last week before being ruled out early for Week 2, so his absence Wednesday suggests he will likely miss Week 3 as well. Brown should be considered week-to-week until we get a more firm update on his status. The Titans top pass catchers without Brown in the fold appear to be Corey Davis and tight end Jonnu Smith with Adam Humphries getting some looks underneath.

A.J. Brown would not delve into the specifics of his injury, a bone bruise in his knee that forced him from practicing Thursday and Friday.

“Just know that I'm working through it,” he said.

It’s unclear when the injury occurred, but the 6-foot, 226-pound receiver did catch a helmet to the knee with about 10 minutes left in the Titans’ season opener in Denver on Sept. 14. On a screen pass from Ryan Tannehill, Brown picked up seven yards before Denver safety Kareem Jackson went low for a tackle. Brown was slow to get up before motioning to the sideline that he was coming off the field.

As the story said, bone bruises can linger, but the fact that the Titans didn’t place Brown on injured reserve – which would mean he would have to miss the next three weeks – would seem to indicate they believe a return is not too far off.
