According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown is in danger of missing this weekend's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We noted earlier that A.J. Brown missing consecutive practices was a concern, and here we are. Schefter noted that Brown is dealing with a bone bruise, and that according to his source, that the injury may be of multi-week variety. A devastating start to the season to much-hyped rookie to be sure. We knocked Brown down our rankings with the news from earlier today and will remove him completely if he cannot give it a go tomorrow. Fantasy managers should start making contingency plans.

According to Terry McCormick on Twitter, Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown has missed his second consecutive practice with a knee injury.

A.J. Brown missing his second consecutive practice suggests that there may be something here. There is no word yet on the nature or extent of the injury. All eyes will be on tomorrow's injury report as the fantasy football world waits to hear if the star receiver can, at the very least, get in a limited practice. If he cannot, an early rule out is a possibility, with a game-time decision also being in play. Luckily, the Titans play the Jaguars in the early afternoon so we will have clarity before the slate kicks off. Fantasy managers should start making contingency plans. Brown is our 11th ranked receiver for Week 2.

In all, the Bengals wheeled out seven plays with five receivers Sunday.

The concept became a staple of his record-breaking season at LSU as his new offensive coordinator Joe Brady shifted from traditional six- and seven-man protections to the five-man protections with everyone out in the route to spread the field. The story added the Bengals ran more plays in five receivers than every team except Pittsburgh has over the last two full seasons. The entire league only ran five wide receivers for 25 total plays last season. The Steelers (17) led the way, Jaguars (four) were next and no other team had more than one. HC Zac Taylor said he wants to get the above WRs on the field because he feels there is a lot of talent there. But it also means pulling guys like Joe Mixon off the field at the same time.

Richard Skinner of WKRC in Cincinnati picked WR John Ross as the Bengals breakout offensive player. Skinner bases his choice on the return of A.J. Green to pair with Tyler Boyd, forcing defenses to shift their focus away from Ross. Skinner also talked to A.J. Green about Ross. "He’s unbelievable, siad Green. "He’s one of the fastest people I’ve ever seen, and the way he gets in and out of his breaks is unbelievable. He’s had a great camp outside of getting injured, and I’m very excited for him. He’s going to help our offense out so much."

An effective Ross also bodes well for rookie QB Joe Burrow. Ross has dealt with a myriad of injuries in Cincinnati, but showed promise in the first few weeks of 2019 before said injuries forced him to miss eight games. Until the Bengals offense shows it can support Green, Boyd, and RB Joe Mixon, it will be tough to see Ross as anything other than a waiver wire watch early this season.

The Bengals are counting on C.J. Uzomah and Drew Sample to help fill the void left by Tyler Eifert, who ranks sixth all-time in franchise history in receiving yards for a tight end.

Even though Eifert was the most productive tight end in 2019, Uzomah was the team’s starter. Uzomah started all 16 games and was in for over 58% of the club’s snaps. Eifert was primarily used as a red zone target. This year without Eifert on the roster, Uzomah should see an uptick in production as his role expands the story went on to say.

The Giants' offense is built around Saquon Barkley's skills, and putting up numbers like Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey did last season (more than 1,000 yards rushing and receiving) or making a run at Chris Johnson's single-season yards from scrimmage record (2,509) seems plausible.

"Certainly, he'll be a big part of what we're doing going forward," OC Jason Garrett said.

The story said Garrett's history shows he is more than willing to lean on a star running back, as nobody averaged more carries per game (20.9) over the past four seasons than Ezekiel Elliott did under Garrett with the Dallas Cowboys. Elliott even finished second among running backs with 431 routes run last season. The story went on to say the passing game is where Barkley could make significant gains. Watching him run routes at practice, the mismatches are obvious. His routes are crisper than ever. His explosiveness has returned.

Jalen Reagor will have to wait a bit before playing in his first NFL game.

He injured his shoulder in Sunday’s practice, and Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the Eagles receiver will miss at least the opener after an MRI revealed a small tear in Reagor’s labrum.

Reagor will not require surgery, Davison adds.

Reagor could also miss Week 2 which is a big loss. The Eagles will likely roll with Jackson, Ward and Arcega-Whiteside the first two weeks. TEs Ertz and Goedert could benefit the most with Reagor out.

Carson Wentz left practice on Sunday with what's being described as a soft tissue injury, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, but the silver lining is he's listed as day-to-day and the ailment itself is viewed as minor.

Carson Wentz has to stay healthy in 2020 if the Philadelphia Eagles are to challenge for the NFC East crown, in their quest to be the first team in the division to repeat as champs since they did it in 2003 and 2004. The veteran quarterback is giving the team a bit of a scare just two weeks ahead of the season opener on Sept. 13 against Washington. This could Hurts a few more snaps at practice as he tries to pass Sudfeld for the QB2 job.
