At the Andy Reid press conference Monday, Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said QB Mike Vick "was a little bit off" after getting a concussion but Vick said he "was fine" on the plane home.
Vick told Reid and his teammates he was "fine" as well. The team was going to meet with Vick later today for more tests.
A lot needs to go on over the next week, Burkholder added. He also said he can give no time frame on when Vick will return.
Burkholder said Vick wasn't far off as far as being able to pass the tests he needs to to get back on the field, but didn't give any specific numbers. Consider Vick iffy at best for this week based on the NFL's rules for player safety. Unless Vince Young is cleared to play, Mike Kafka would be the starter against the Giants. Reid said Young is "getting close" to 100%.
The Eagles kept the playcalling simple for Kafka, but that's something Reid admitted he regretted at his press conference. Still, Kafka is a significant dowgrade to Vick, and even Young.
Reid said more updates would come later this week.
