As the Vikings prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's divisional playoff game at the Metrodome, lawyers for defensive tackles Kevin and Pat Williams and the NFL will be back in a Minneapolis courtroom this morning to resume battle in the StarCaps drug-testing case.
The NFL suspended the Williamses four games in December 2008 after they tested positive for a banned substance found in the tainted weight-loss supplement they were using — StarCaps.
The Vikings stars accuse the league of violating Minnesota laws regulating how and when employers can test workers for alcohol and drugs.
A trial is scheduled March 10 before Hennepin County Judge Gary Larson, whose injunction blocks the league from suspending the Williamses while their case is pending.
Tuesday's hearing is for both sides to argue why their case should prevail without a trial.
