Dalvin Cook's participation in practice Friday gives the Vikings hope that he will be able to play against the Lions. Sources indicated that Cook will go through an on-field workout prior to inactives before determining whether he can play. He went through a similar process before the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals. If Cook is good to go, he'll be on a limited pitch count, which is expected to be around 15 to 20 plays, according to a source.
Unless Latavius Murray gets stuck in traffic on the way to the game, we can't see a scenario where we'd start Cook this weekend. Murray, who has scored 22.8, 22.3 and 20.5 points in the three games Cooks has missed, is still in the RB2 conversation despite Cook's presence.
