Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson sustained a small fracture in his wrist during Thursday night's 56-14 loss against the Atlanta Falcons, multiple sources told FOXSports.com.
The injury will not cause Jackson to miss any time, though, and the 10th-year wide receiver plans to play Sunday against the Steelers.
The injury likely occurred on the first play of the Bucs’ second offensive series. Jackson fell on his wrist after taking a hit from safety Dwight Lowery. He continued to play with the injury throughout the game without treatment.
Jackson, who was targeted nine times, finished with two receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson won't miss time but it remains to be seen if he's limited in any way. Things were already a struggle for the Tampa offense and this certainly doesn't help. Hopefully for Jackson owners, QB Mike Glennon will spark the offense a bit to get Jackson back to playable in lineups. It's a situation to monitor going forward for Jackson owners.
