Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is undergoing concussion evaluation and will not be a full participant in practice until Friday at the earliest.
By NFL protocol, Welker will be limited in practice this week and is permitted to make a full return to practice Friday at the earliest, only if doctors say he has passed the baseline test.
Welker's status for next Sunday's showdown with the New England Patriots -- his former team -- is uncertain, but sources told ESPN NFL Insider Chris Mortensen that the star receiver is expected to be OK.
If Welker plays, he'll want to be a big part of the offense against his former team in Week 12. If he doesn't go, Eric Decker would see an increase in workload. We'll have to wait until Friday to probably know any more about Welker, but at this point things look pretty good for his chances of playing.
