Willis McGahee trade rumors start again

We’re heading into the third week of the season, and the running back Willis McGahee trade rumors persist.

This time Adam Schefter stirred the pot during ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown,” a couple hours before the start of yesterday’s Ravens-Bengals matchup.

It all started when Schefter said the Green Bay Packers were interested in Bills running back Marshawn Lynch after losing their own starting back, Ryan Grant, to an ankle injury for the season.

Continuing on, the ESPN analyst said McGahee would be another option for the Packers because the Ravens are offering him to “anyone” for a draft pick. Schefter did not specify how high the pick would have to be.

In August, Baltimore Sun’s Jamison Hensley speculated that the Ravens’ growing confidence in Jalen Parmele was one reason the team would be willing to part with McGahee.
