Bortles: Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is a 'matchup nightmare' all over the field

Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is going to be a significant part of the offense in 2016 and Blake Bortles said it would be irresponsible if he weren’t.

"Really, anywhere on the field he’s a matchup nightmare," Bortles said. "So I think there’ll definitely be stuff that we have for him [in] really every single category: third down, red zone, base, all that. There’ll be plays where we’re trying to get him the ball and get him involved because he’s an extremely good player and a playmaker."

Fantasy Impact:

Thomas missed the first month of the season with a hand injury, but returned in Week 5 to post #11 TE numbers (PPR) the rest of the way. He has missed seven games over the past two seasons due to injury. He has reportedly had a great offseason and has spent extra time in the film room with Bortles in the hopes of building better chemistry. He had a quiet preseason, but we're expecting good numbers in 2016.
