Fantasy Impact:

Hi folks, Senior Editor John Paulsen here. Owners deciding whether to start Watkins (myself included) have a tough call to make. On one hand, Watkins' isn't injured, per se. His foot is (reportedly) structurally fine, but he's dealing with pain. I watched his six targets from Week 1, and he looked perfectly fine to me. There was no noticeable limp and he didn't look tentative in his cuts at all. Same old Sammy, even though he didn't have the best production. Now it's possible that after the game, he had considerable pain in his foot and may come out and play differently tonight. But the fact that he's playing on a short week leads me to believe we're more likely to see 100 percent Sammy than 60 percent Sammy. Then there's Darrelle Revis to consider. He was torched by A.J. Green last week and may come out with a chip on his shoulder. Or he may just be on the decline facing a receiver who is entering his prime. With all that said, and barring some late information from someone watching Watkins warm up, I have him ranked #22 in standard formats and would start him over other dicey starts like Demaryius Thomas (hip injury, probably will play, poor QB), T.Y. Hilton (bad matchup, possible knee issue), etc.
