After Redskins RB Matt Jones struggled in a win over Baltimore, HC Jay Gruden expressed interest in getting RB Robert Kelley more involved in the game plan. "I think Robert shows that he’s deserving of some carries. You know, we like Matt Jones, but I think there’s a good combination there where the both of them can get the ball."
Jones is still the starter, for now, and should continue to see the majority of the backfield work for Washington.
Matt Jones' role in the offense seems safe for now and he should still be used as an RB2. If Kelley does become a bigger contributor, though, there could be major cause for concern. The Redskins are one of just six teams whose RBs account for 50% or fewer of team touches, so this team likely can't support two fantasy-relevant backs.
