IDP Waiver Suggestions and Start/Sits - Week 8

Welcome to Week 8, also known as bye week hell. We have six teams on bye, and a lot of elite IDPs are going to be on your bench this week -- including Landon Collins, Zachary Orr and Alec Ogletree, just to name a few. There aren't as many injuries to deal with this week, but the bye week isn't making things any easier.

I would imagine the waiver wire’s cupboard is starting to thin out in your league, so looking for replacements is becoming more challenging. Thankfully, I think I've identified a few players who can help you navigate the bye week.

IDP Waiver Wire

Defensive Line

William Gholston, DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (65 snaps/93 percent)

With Robert Ayers still hobbled, Gholston is appearing in the majority of snaps and has strung together double-digit fantasy points in three of his last four games. He notched his first sack since Week 4 and recorded a 10.8-percent tackle rate, leading to seven tackles.

Adrian Clayborn, DE, Atlanta Falcons (45 snaps/60 percent)

Clayborn’s Week 7 was aided by a defensive TD, however, he has produced sacks in two of his last three games. He’s produced consistent pressure throughout the season, which has led to a near 11-percent QB pressure rate. If you’re in need of depth in big-play leagues, consider Clayborn.

Cameron Wake, DE, Cameron Wake (32 snaps/56 percent)

Cameron is starting to ‘wake’ as the season rolls on, and with the bye coming up, now’s the time to get in on him as he could go overlooked. Wake has sacks in two straight games and has been a pressure monster all season long, producing a near 20-percent QB pressure. I have a feeling he’s primed for a big second half.

Noah Spence, DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (42 snaps/60 percent)

I’m going back to Tampa and looking at Spence. He was another rookie who had a solid outing this past week. Spence generated a near 19-percent QB pressure and was disruptive for most of the the game against the 49ers. He recorded his second sack of the year and is worth a look in deeper leagues and big-play scoring formats.
