Week 8 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday

Browns QB Cody Kessler (concussion) did not practice Wednesday. Kessler is iffy for Sunday.

Browns QB Josh McCown (left shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday. McCown is “moving in the right direction” to play in Week 8, per beat writer Mary Kay Cabot. McCown could start if Cody Kessler can’t play.

Texans QB Brock Osweiler (foot) practiced fully Wednesday. Osweiler has a great matchup with the Lions, who are #32 in QB aFPA.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (hamstring) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Palmer should be fine to face the Panthers.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) did not practice Wednesday. The Cowboys are reportedly going to be “overly conservative” with Romo. Dak Prescott should continue to start in the short-term.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (left shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday.
