With Mark Sanchez back in New Jersey, rehabbing his sprained right knee, Clemens (12-for-23, 111 yards) managed an ultra-conservative game plan without committing any turnovers. That was the best thing about his performance. The rest was, uh, let's just say there won't be a quarterback controversy.
"I think (Sanchez) will be ready to go, but I'm not sure," said Ryan, looking ahead to next Sunday and the Falcons. "We'll have to wait and see."
The feeling in the locker room is that Sanchez will be healthy enough to start this week. Obviously, Ryan made the right call by sitting his franchise quarterback, not wanting to risk further injury.
