Texans place WR Jaelen Strong on IR

The Houston Texans put wide receiver Jaelen Strong on injured reserve Saturday because of an ankle injury.

Strong injured his ankle Week 8 against the Detroit Lions and has been out since. He returned to practice this week as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday for the first time since he sustained the injury but did not practice Friday and was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Impact:

In eight games this season, Strong had 14 catches for 131 yards. The third-round draft pick had 14 catches for 161 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season last year. With receiver Braxton Miller ruled out for Sunday's game, the Texans have wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Keith Mumphery available against the Colts.
