IDP Waiver Suggestions and Start/Sits - Week 15
We've made it to Week 15, and many of you are hopefully still alive in your playoffs with a championship in view. Last week, we saw Derrick Johnson go down with a torn Achilles. For you DJ owners, he could be tough to replace, so the waiver wire becomes an even more important asset during this crucial week. Let’s take a look at who could be available, in addition to my favorite matchup plays for Week 15.
IDP Waiver Wire
Defensive Line
Mayowa has flashed ability throughout the season, although his snaps have been inconsistent. He’s able to get to the QB more consistently now Demarcus Lawrence is back, and Tyrone Crawford is plugging up the middle. If you’re looking for a deep big-play scoring target, Mayowa is worth a look for these next few weeks.
Okwara looks to be the starter for Jason Pierre-Paul going forward, and it was good to see him getting the majority of snaps on Sunday night. In his first significant action of the season, Okwara produced a 0.26 points per snap rate and notched eight tackles and a sack. JPP owners will want to get him for sure.
Dareus has produced 12 or more fantasy points in two of his last three games and has a very favorable matchup with the Browns in Week 15. In just 267 defensive snaps, he’s recording a 10.1-percent tackle rate, so he’s worth grabbing in tackle-heavy/balanced formats for his matchup this week.
If Mario Williams is going to miss any more time, Branch will be a DL to target. Since the bye week, Branch has notched 2.5 sacks in his last five games. He’s averaged a 67-percent snap usage rate, so even with Williams, he’s getting enough snaps to be useful in deeper leagues.
