Broncos beat: Denver expected to 'zero in' on QB Brock Osweiler

Broncos beat reporter Mike Klis says he talked to two player sources who said they expect Broncos to zero in on QB Brock Osweiler once he's officially available. Osweiler was cut by the Browns, after being traded by the Texans, who signed Osweiler as a free agent after he spent the first four years of his career in Denver.

UPDATE via Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Pending Monday's physical, Broncos will sign their former QB Brock Osweiler on a one-year, $775,000 deal."

Related players: Trevor Siemian, Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders

Fantasy Impact:

Osweiler had his best season in Denver in 2015, throwing for a career-high 7.15 ypa with ten touchdowns and six interceptions in eight games. Siemian should still be the starter moving forward, but it would give the Broncos a familiar back-up and another option if Siemian plays poorly. Current back-up Paxton Lynch is expected to miss at least a couple weeks with a shoulder injury.
