Cincinnati Enquirer: Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, who missed
his ninth game Sunday in the 35-3 loss to the Colts, said he has
been throwing now for a couple of weeks. He is out with an
inflamed throwing (right) elbow on which Palmer says the tendon
and ligament are detached from the bone. He still wants to play,
though just three games remain in a season that has sunk to 1-11-
1. "I'm trying to prepare to play. Whether I play or not, I can't
go about my business any other way than preparing with the game
plan each week, taking care of my body and trying to play," Palmer
said after the game at Lucas Oil Stadium. "I didn't throw a ton.
I'm going to take it slowly and hopefully throw more and more
balls as I get cleared to do. But nothing catastrophic news that
you guys might be looking for." He said he has not experienced
pain in the elbow. "We're moving around a lot," said Palmer, who
is now throwing from 20 to 30 yards.
