The New Orleans Saints made two roster moves Friday in preparation for Sunday's regular-season finale at Carolina. They cut veteran cornerback Mike McKenzie and promoted quarterback Chase Daniel from the practice squad to the active roster.
Daniel is expected to backup Mark Brunell against the Panthers as the Saints rest starter Drew Brees. McKenzie's departure means it's likely starting cornerback Jabari Greer will be healthy enough to play Sunday. Greer has missed the last seven weeks with a sports hernia. McKenzie joined the Saints at midseason after a run of injuries to cornerbacks. It wouldn't e surprising if he he is re-signed after the Panthers game.
