Streaming Defenses: Week 11 Fantasy Football Targets
Generally, defenses have to be available on the waiver wire in at least 40% of Yahoo fantasy leagues to be eligible as a streaming option. This ensures we are talking about defenses that are readily available.
Last week, the Detroit Lions were our top-scoring defense with 14 fantasy points against the Browns and finished as the DST4 in most formats. In Week 10, our targets averaged 8.2 points and, overall, our streaming picks are averaging nearly 10 FP/game.
Continue to target a defense facing a below average or rookie QB or making a long road trip. Week 11 is here and four teams are on a bye, so let's look at the defensive options we're targeting this week:
Arizona Cardinals vs. HOU
Tom Savage is a bad QB and he's taken a once prolific offense and turned it into the Browns. This week, the Texans are facing a tough Cardinals defense.
Frostee Rucker, even though he only has 1.5 sacks, has been solid up front allowing the edge rushers to get to the QB.
Chandler Jones leads the defense in sacks with 10, while also adding in 17 QB hits. Jones has been a menace around the line of scrimmage, notching 15 tackles for a loss. Karlos Dansby leads the linebacker group in tackles, while also producing an INT and sack.
The secondary will need to step up with the loss of Tyvon Branch. Tyrann Mathieu has a sack, INT and three defended passes. Antoine Bethea leads the way with three INTs and should be the leader of the DBs.
Tom Savage is not a good QB and he goes on the road to face an aggressive Cardinals defense. Savage is coming off a two-INT game and the Cardinals have an opportunistic secondary. Arizona is available in 54% of leagues facing a Houston offense yielding the fourth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing defenses.
