Dustin Keller isn't lobbying to have the ball thrown his way, but the tight end still wants Mark Sanchez to know where he is at all times.

"I'm always ready and I stay in his ear about it. If this happens or that happens, I'm there," said Keller, who hasn't factored into the Jets' offense lately, catching just nine passes over the final five games of the regular season.

"The ball hasn't come my way very much....I'm not discouraged by it at all," he added. "I know that at any given moment, short routes or hot routes, the ball can come my way. If it comes, great, I'm ready."

As the Jets relied on their running game down the stretch, Keller spent more time on the sideline while a lineman was inserted in his place for blocking purposes. It was an unexpected twist for the second-year player, who finished the regular season with 45 receptions for 522 yards - three catches and 13 yards shy of last season's totals.
