MNF: 49ers RB Matt Breida limited Saturday, questionable Week 6

In a bit of a surprise, accoridng to the team's official injury report, 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) was able to practice Saturday for the 49ers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has said this week he is doubtful to play, but his official injury designation lists Breida as questionable for Monday night against the Packers.

He is likely headed for a game-time decision. However, NBC Sports Bay Area reported Friday that if the 49ers promote a RB from the practice squad Monday afternoon, that would be an indication that Breida will not play. NBCS Bay Area also describes Breida as 50-50 for Week 6.

Related Players: Alfred Morris

Fantasy Impact:

For owners that have Breida but not Alfred Morris, the Monday night kickoff puts them in a tough spot. Our suggestion would be to move Breida to your FLEX if you are lacking depth and make sure you have another viable back-up from the Packers or 49ers. If you have a similar or better option than Breida that plays Sunday, this would be the safer decision than risking Breida being inactive Monday. Obviously, if you own Breida and Morris, you have the handcuff locked and loaded for Week 6.
