Cowboys WR Tavon Austin (groin) to miss time

Tavon Austin isn't expected to play Sunday at Washington. The veteran wide receiver might be out for a while.

During his weekly radio appearance Tuesday morning, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the groin injury Austin suffered in the third quarter on Sunday is similar to the injury former Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne had during the 2016 season.

Claiborne ended up missing nine games.

Fantasy Impact:

Austin had his right groin heavily wrapped as he congratulated players entering the locker room after Sunday's game. Austin has seven catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns to go along with six carries for 55 yards this season. Austin has also been Dallas' primary punt returner, returning 10 for 58 yards.
