Streaming Defenses: Week 12 Targets
Last week, the Indianapolis defense finished with 13 fantasy points and were the DEF4 in most scoring formats. Through 11 weeks, our streaming targets are averaging 9.5 fantasy points per game.
This week, you will want to continue targeting defenses with home matchups who are favorited and facing teams with low implied team totals. We also want to target offenses with a below-average or rookie QB.
Generally, defenses have to be available on the waiver wire in at least 40 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues to be eligible as a streaming option. This ensures we are talking about defenses that are readily available. Week 12 is in our sights, and it's Thanksgiving week, so let's stuff ourselves silly with our streaming options this week.
Top Streaming Targets
Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Bills are coming off their bye and have a favorable home matchup against the Jaguars.
Jerry Hughes has been an efficient pass rusher, generating a 19.5 percent QB pressure rate and has converted six of his pressures into sacks. He should be able to take advantage of his matchup on Ereck Flowers to help produce sacks. Lorenzo Alexander has also played on the edge and is producing a 16.2 percent pressure rate.
Tremaine Edmunds leads the defense in tackles and has been responsible for a sack and two forced fumbles.
Jordan Poyer is a big play safety who's capable of picking the ball off and TreDavious White is turning into a shadow corner in his second year.
Blake Bortles has a four-INT game this season and is playing behind a below average offensive line. The addition of Flowers may not help matters. The Jaguars are giving up the fourth most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing defenses.
