Streaming Defenses: Week 13 Targets
Last week, the Tampa Bay defense finished with 12 fantasy points and were the DEF5 in most scoring formats. Through 12 weeks, our streaming targets are averaging 9.1 fantasy points per game.
This week, you will want to continue targeting defenses with home matchups who are favorited and facing teams with low implied team totals. We also want to target offenses with a below-average or rookie QB.
Generally, defenses have to be available on the waiver wire in at least 40 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues to be eligible as a streaming option. This ensures we are talking about defenses that are readily available. Week 13 is in our sights, and hopefully playoff berths, so let's see who we're targeting this week:
Top Streaming Targets
Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks defense has flown under the radar this season, but they are a viable streamer at home against the 49ers in Week 13.
Frank Clark is their pressure generator. He's recorded double-digit sacks and has been responsible for producing a near 11 percent pressure rate. Jarran Reed has also been a force up the middle, recording six sacks.
Bobby Wagner has been their defensive captain and can make plays on the ball and force turnovers.
Bradley McDougald is their big-play safety and produced an INT in Week 12, his third of the season.
Seattle has playmakers at each level of their defense and is going to try and rattle Nick Mullens. The Seahawks are early 7.5-point favorites at home. Our defensive hotspot tool shows this as a matchup to take advantage of and the 49ers are ranked 27th in aFPA to opposing defenses.
