Seahawks beat: Jaron Brown likely to open as No. 2 WR

Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest believes Jaron Brown will open the season as the No. 2 wide receiver until DK Metcalf returns.

Fantasy Impact:

David Moore is also out with a shoulder injury, creating the opportunity for Brown, at least in Week 1 against the Bengals. Brown had flashed during offseason workouts and now will get a chance at the starting lineup. Metcalf is expected to resume training next week, so while Metcalf may miss the opener, he may be back in Week 2 against Pittsburgh.

The Jaguars ruled out QB Trevor Lawrence and RB Tank Bigsby for Sunday's game at Detroit.

Fantasy Impact:

We already knew Mac Jones was declared the starter, but Bigsby being out gives a boost to Etienne. That said, he's still a borderline RB2/3 in a bad offense, in a bad matchup.

LaPorta's mediocre sophomore season could have gotten a great boost here against a soft Jaguars defense, but no luck. Brock Wright is an interesting "close your eyes and click" option for very deep leagues.
