Redskins RB Derrius Guice out indefinitely following knee surgery

Redskins RB Derrius Guice had surgery to trim a torn meniscus this morning, sources say. He is in Pensacola meeting with Dr. James Andrews, who performed the procedure. Guice is out indefinitely, as the team considers its roster options.

Fantasy Impact:

Washington could put Derrius Guice on I.R., but we are still waiting on their time-frame for a return. In his absence, Adrian Peterson will be the lead back while Chris Thompson will be the passing-down and hurry-up back. Both should be rostered in most leagues.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
