Streaming Tight Ends: Week 7 Targets
There’s no need to sugarcoat or put lipstick on a pig here, tight end is a crapfest in 2019. To top it off, this week we have four teams who get to chill and watch from their couches—Panthers, Browns, Steelers and Buccaneers.
As a strategy, streaming aims to find players with above-average matchups, which can hopefully translate to TE1 production for your fantasy squad.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season continues to progress and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

Darren Fells was my streaming star in Week 6, coming in as the fantasy TE6 on the week with 12.9 PPR points. Our goal in all this is starting tight end results. After four weeks, 4for4’s optimal streamer has scored 83.8 PPR points, which equates to TE4 numbers on the season.
In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be owned in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.
Top Streaming Picks
Dawson Knox (Bills) vs. Dolphins
Well rested and playing at home, Knox could see some decent numbers in Week 7 against Miami. The Dolphins rank 21st in TE aFPA heading into Sunday’s contest, yielding some big outputs to the position this season, including 24.8 PPR points to Mark Andrews in Week 1.
Knox is Josh Allen’s third-favorite target behind John Brown and Cole Beasley. He saw a season-high 72% of snaps before Buffalo’s bye in Week 6. Rostered by only 8% of Yahoo! players, Knox makes a decent choice for streaming in a sea of brutal options.
