Almost a year later, LeGarrette Blount is finally looking at the opportunity to change that legacy.
He went undrafted in large part because of the punching incident and the eight-game suspension that followed. But the 6-foot, 247-pounder seems to have landed in a near-perfect spot, with a team short on reserve running backs and one that is potentially looking for a bruiser to fill the role vacated by the departed LenDale White.
"He's handling everything very well,'' running backs coach Craig Johnson said. "He's been pleasant and he's asked a lot of questions. He has an engaging personality. The guy has been tremendous.''
