Streaming Defenses: Week 16 Targets
As discussed previously, we are rolling out a new-and-improved model this season for projecting fantasy defenses. This model focuses on the most predictable elements of defense scoring: points allowed, sacks and interceptions. To project points in each of those areas, we rely on the Vegas lines, quarterback history of interceptions and the offensive and defense history of producing sacks. Below, we will look at what those elements say for Week 16.

Looking Backward
All three of our picks last week beat our projections.
The Chiefs scored 11 points from the predictable elements of scoring. They underperformed our projections in both sacks and interceptions, but only three points allowed more than makes up for that.
The Seahawks scored seven points from the predictable elements, just slightly beating our expectation. They only had one sack and allowed 24 points, which was more than the 21 we projected. However, they snagged three interceptions, which adds up to a big score.
The Buccaneers also scored seven points, solidly beating their projection. They slightly underperformed our projections in sacks and slightly overperformed in points allowed. Pulling in a second interception, though, pushed them further past our expectation.
