Giants backup quarterback Jim Sorgi will be out two to three weeks with a shoulder injury sustained in Monday’s preseason victory over the Jets, according to someone informed of the results of an MRI performed on Sorgi this morning.
The person, who requested anonymity because the Giants haven’t yet released information on Sorgi’s status, said the exam revealed damage not related to his previous labrum tear that was a red flag for the team before they signed the former Colts backup.
