49ers bringing WR Tavon Austin in for workout

The 49ers are bringing free agent WR Tavon Austin in for a workout and hope to sign him to a contract.

Fantasy Impact:

Austin has been an inefficient player during his career but the 49ers are desperate for speed after losing WR Deebo Samuel to injury. If Austin does end up signing in San Francisco, he will compete with Jalen Hurd, Trent Taylor and rookie Brandon Aiyuk for targets behind elite TE George Kittle. None of the 49er pass catchers outside of Kittle profile as a consistent fantasy starter.
