There's something fishy going on with Shonn Greene. After his costly second-quarter fumble at the Baltimore Ravens' 24-yard line, Greene never carried the ball again, finishing with five carries for 18 yards. After the game, Rex Ryan said he hadn't talked to the offensive coaches on why Greene was benched.

Some 15 hours later, Ryan still didn't have an answer. How could that be possible?

"I haven't had a chance to talk to Brian (Schottenheimer) or Anthony (Lynn) on that yet," said Ryan, referring to the offensive coordinator and running backs coach. "I actually just got through the film. We'll see. Shonn is a huge part of what we do and who we are."

But Greene has had fumbling issues in the past, and someone evidently didn't want him on the field. They kept feeding the ball to LaDainian Tomlinson, who had a nice game -- 62 yards on 11 carries.

Greene bolted early from the locker room after the game. Players weren't available Tuesday to the media.
