Judge: 'Optimistic' Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton practice some this week

Giants HC Joe Judge told reporters Wednesday that he hopes WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton get some practice in this week. Both missed Week 4 with hamstring injuries.

Fantasy Impact:

Their absences were felt some as trusted veteran receiving options, but it also allowed Toney and Ross to shine. Toney is the most likely to keep a similar role in Week 5 if Shepard and Slayton return.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
