Week 6 Betting Picks: Against The Spread

Week 6 brings us the beginning of bye weeks, and with it fewer betting options to choose from on a weekly basis. That will be a factor in our selections this week, as we have just two betting plays to post early in the week. The majority of the lines this week have the feel of being just large enough to keep us from jumping onto a betting play, but still have a point or two of value for the favorite. Rather than dive into potential traps like that, I’m opting to keep the number of plays smaller.

We also had two plays last week, and those went 1-1. The Titans did not require any sweat as they rolled the Jaguars. The Jaguars have likely packed it in until they can find something resembling leadership—they make an appearance below. The surprising loss was the Panthers, who blew leads of 11 and six points. The second-half execution on offense was some of the worst we have seen from them this season. They also lost containment of Jalen Hurts on defense. Hurts's pair of rushing touchdowns accounted for 15 of the Eagles' 21 points and all came in the last 16 minutes. The early lead we were looking for from the Panthers came to fruition, the surprise came in how it was squandered.
