According to a source close to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, shutting down Mayfield for the season is not a prevailing theme as they prepare for Steelers. More about whether they can get swelling to subside before Sunday.

This seems like a lot of work to put a band-aid over a bullet wound. Mayfield is one wrong hit away from major surgery, but with the playoffs a realistic option in 2021, the Browns would rather have 75% of Mayfield than Case Keenum.
