2021 Houston Open: Round 3 Matchups

Since winning the Puerto Rico Open back in 2019, Martin Trainer has missed the cut in 60 of his last 69 PGA Tour events. After consecutive rounds of 65 at the Houston Open, Trainer surprisingly finds himself alone in first place with the lead after 36 holes. He was second in the field in ball-striking in round two and has been hot with the putter as well. The golfer that Trainer trailed in the ball-striking category was Scottie Scheffler, who blistered Memorial Park to the tune of a course-record score of 8-under par. He currently sits tied for fifth at 6-under overall. The other notable golfer in the top five is Jason Kokrak. He is at 8-under par but has only completed the first 11 holes of his Friday round. With half of the golfers in the field still on the course when play was suspended on Friday evening, the second round will not be completed until Saturday morning. This means we will not know player matchups until that time, nor is there complete Strokes Gained data. Very few lines have been released by book-makers so check back in the morning on Discord finishing for any additional plays as the second round finishes.
