Despite the fact that the New Orleans Saints are bringing in a veteran kicker to help with the kicking duties, kicker Garrett Hartley remains on the roster and still is in the Saints' plans, Hartley's agent said Tuesday night.

According to a league source, the Saints have reached a one-year contract agreement with 46-year-old kicker John Carney to help solidify the Saints' struggling field goal kicking.

Fantasy Impact:

If John Carney is handling the field goal and PAT duties, Garrett Hartley can now be safely dropped in all leagues.

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
