2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Round 2 Betting & Showdown Picks
Tom Hoge shot a 9-under 63 to take a one-shot lead over Seamus Power after the first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Playing on the iconic Pebble Beach course, with perfect conditions, Hoge made six birdies in a row at one point and continued his overall good streak of play. Though he is behind Hoge on the leaderboard, Power's round was even more impressive as he shot a 64 on the much tougher Spyglass Hill course, including making birdies on the last four holes. For the opening round, Spyglass Hill played 0.23 strokes over par while both Pebble Beach and the Monterey course averaged over 1.2 strokes under par. Jonas Blixt led all scorers at the Monterey Course at 7-under par. The biggest name on the first page of the leaderboard, Patrick Cantlay, birdied his last three holes to shoot 65 at Monterey.
Oddsmakers currently have Power, Cantlay and Hoge as runaway leaders to win the event with each checking in at +600 or lower. Keep an eye on Jason Day at +2400. He is currently five shots back at 4-under and plays the easier Monterey course on Friday, where he has gained 29.8 strokes throughout his career. Kevin Streelman (+5500) is another option to consider for live-betting if he gets off to a fast start on Friday. Streelman has gained an average of over two shots per round on the difficult Spyglass Hill course he plays tomorrow.
