A running joke became a reality as no quarterback registered more dropbacks against two-high coverages than Patrick Mahomes last year, forcing him into a league-high percentage of throws behind the line of scrimmage (27.3%) and passing yards after the catch. Whereas Mahomes averaged 25.6 fantasy points (with nine careless turnovers) during Kansas City’s 3-3 start to open the year, opposing defenses bottled his production to 18.8 points per game with only three top-five finishes from Week 7 on; his lone overall QB1-performance in Week 10 occurred against Gus Bradley’s Raiders which stubbornly schemed zero defensive snaps with two high safeties.
