Daboll anticipates all his players playing in preseason opener

Giants HC Brian Daboll said he anticipates all his players playing in their preseason opener Thursday against the Patriots.

Fantasy Impact:

Being a first-year head coach, perhaps Daboll wants to get a sense of game action with his players, though our guess is he’ll only play them for maybe a series or two, just to get his feet wet. By some early accounts, particularly from their recent scrimmage, the offense, including the line, need some work, so any reps they can get can only help. So we should also get a chance to see rookie TE Daniel Bellinger, who has been having a very nice camp so far.

Fantasy Impact:

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith officially Out for Week 12

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
