Raise your hand if you expected Joel Dreessen to be a more viable pass catcher than Owen Daniels at this point in the season.
I always felt like Dreessen had more ability than just being a "blocking tight end" in this offense; however, I've been mildly surprised at how fluid he has been in his routes. I know it takes awhile to come back from an ACL injury, but one has to wonder if OD's three career ACL tears will make the Texans reconsider his long term position with the team.
Dreessen has been good and the Texans have a couple of young pass catching tight ends in James Casey and Garrett Graham waiting in the wings.
