Week 5 Fantasy Football Sneaky Starts & Sleepers
All but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough—a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.
Note: As of Week 4, all of our aFPA tools (i.e. Hot Spots/Strength of Schedule) are now using only 2022 data.
Quarterbacks
Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars (vs. HOU, 10)
Lawrence hasn’t exactly lit it up this season, but he’s had his moments–both good and bad. I expect that he’ll bounce back after a rough outing against the Eagles in Week 4. The Texans haven’t been too generous to opposing quarterbacks this year (254/1.0 allowed), but historically they have been. For his part, Lawrence has thrown seven touchdowns in his last three games.
