Week 6 IDP Waiver Wire: Pickups & Targets (Fantasy Football 2022)
Just like that, we're in Week 6. The week ended with a trade featuring a big name, Deion Jones. You can read about my thoughts on the deal and what it means for both Cleveland and Atlanta, here. Not too many injuries of note out of the week. Mykal Walker and Josey Jewell were the two big ones to keep an eye on. Besides injuries, Week 6 brings the bye weeks.
This week, we'll be without the services of the IDPs from the Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Las Vegas Raiders.
Notable IDPs with Week 6 bye: David Long, Denico Autry, Kevin Byard, Jeffrey Simmons, Aiden Hutchinson, Alex Anzalone, Malcolm Rodriguez, DeShon Elliott, Christian Kirksey, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Jalen Pitre, Jonathan Greenard, Jerry Hughes, Maxx Crosby, Chandler Jones, Divine Deablo, Denzel Perryman, Jonathan Abram.
Here are the targets from your IDP waiver wire as we head into Week 6.
Linebacker
Alex Singleton, LB, Denver Broncos
Insert <Undertaker-rises.gif> for Alex Singleton this week. While we don’t know the extent of Josey Jewell’s injury, he’s being called week-to-week with a knee injury. We can make a reasonable assumption, he’s questionable at best but won’t know until practice reports this week.
Alex Singleton came on in relief and made the most of his snaps. Singleton ended up playing just about 100% of the snaps in Jewell’s absence and wore the dot. He actually received a fair grade from PFF and missed just one of his tackle attempts. Here he makes a solid tackle doing what he does best - running downhill.
He had an impact around the LOS with two tackles for loss and produced a 20.9% tackle rate - resulting in nine tackles. He’s making tackles in coverage and the run - four of his tackles came from pass plays. He’s going to call the plays if Jewell misses any games, so that puts him on the IDP radar.
