Daniel Jones (New York Giants) vs. Detroit Lions
Among NFL quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks, Daniel Jones’ 0.138 total expected points added (EPA) per play ranks eighth overall. First-year head coach Brian Daboll helps New York pass catchers get open at will and Jones has responded with a 74.4% on-target rate, tied for eighth best.
The gangly Jones owns the position’s second-highest scrambles per game average, 3.8, which helps him average a fourth-ranked 44.4 rushing yards per game. Despite clearing a moderate 220 passing yards in seven-of-nine games, Brissett has produced two or more total touchdowns in just two-of-seven games.

Matt Ryan (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Quarterback Matt Ryan made his triumphant return as the Indianapolis Colts’ starter under new head coach Jeff Saturday last week, turning the opportunity into 22.68 fantasy points, the fifth most on the week.
Ryan’s 15 minutes of fame ends this week though, as Indianapolis is playing host to the Philadelphia Eagles’ No. 2-ranked pass defense (176.4 passing yards allowed per game). Philadelphia’s 6.5% explosive pass plays allowed rate is tied for No. 4 in the NFL and their top-12 21.1% quarterback pressure rate should keep Ryan’s head swiveling.
Philadelphia’s league-leading 0.23 turnovers per drive generated are keyed by their 0.15 interceptions per drive, similarly tied for No. 1 in the NFL.
Among 38 quarterbacks with 100 dropbacks this year, Ryan’s 2.8% interception rate is tied for 25th and his 7.0% sack rate is 24th.
Philadelphia is the No. 1 defense versus opposing quarterbacks with 9.6 fantasy points allowed per game.
